Napkin Card

I made this greeting card background from a decorative napkin. It’s a 6×6 inch card base cut from white card stock with a 5×5 inch Matt covered with a section of a napkin. I used double sided tape to stick the napkin to the card. Glue is not a good idea for this because the napkin paper is so thin, it will probably dissolve into the glue and make a gooey mess. I found a sentiment in my stash and added it to the card with foam tape. It makes a very pretty card and great for batch making as napkins come in packs. Have a go yourself. There are some lovely napkins to be found and they make great crafting material.

Making a layered card

Hi everyone. Today’s project is a layered greeting card, which can be made in an colour scheme you like and for any occasion. The measurements are as follows:

Blank card 5×7 inches

Blue Matt – 4.3/4 x 6.3/4 inches

White Matt – 4.1/2 x 6.1/2 inches

PANEL

Blue panel – 5.1/2 x 1.1/2 inches white panel 5×1 inch

OVAL DIES

Blue oval 2.3/4 x 4 inches

White oval – 2.3/4 x 4 inches

Smaller oval – 2×3 inches – the two white ovals make the frame

You can add any embellishments and sentiment you want to. – the matts and layered were stuck down with glue and the embellishments were added with foam pads.

I do hope you have a go yourself. If you’d like to watch my demonstration of this project, you’ll find it on my First Light Crafts you tube channel. 🌅
