Hi everyone. This is my workspace. The brand colour of my business is orange, as many people know, and they know the story behind that. So on this page, I’m sharing what my orange world looks like. I’ve covered the drawer fronts with orange card as well as my desk. I’ll give you a closer look at these in other photos on this page. My desk chair and armchair both have orange throws on them to coordinate with the room. For a finishing touch, there’s an orange and white rug on the floor, which I admit that I’m thinking of taking up, as it catches on the wheels of my desk chair and I have to roll it back whenever I work at my desk. All but one of the lightbulbs in my light fittings are orange as well, so when the lights go on at night, there’s a wonderful warm orange glow. Take a look in the next picture. 🌅

My workspace is also my living room. When the lights go on after the sun goes down, this is what the room looks like. A beautiful warm glow, which is very relaxing at the end of the day. There’s still enough light to function. I can even knit and craft in this light, but for just sitting back and relaxing, it’s perfect. In the following pictures, I’ll show you other elements of my room. Come and have a look.

This is my desk. As you can see, it is right in front of the window so it’s nice and bright in the daytime. I’ve collected the vases and added artificial flowers in them over a period of time, and added other small ornaments as well. In the centre is a lamp where the filament is an orange sun. I love the lamp as it throws out a gentle orange light. My desk also has an orange covering, which is my brand card, with a protective clear plastic coating over the top. This makes it easy to wash.
I love my desk space, as it’s so bright and cheerful. It’s the perfect space for me to work in.

This is one of the orange features in my workroom. It’s a large orange lamp. Well actually it’s a large vase which I’ve put a string of lights into. It gives a very warm glow and looks beautiful at night when the sun goes down. In the next photo below, I’ll show you what it looks like in its setting. Come and take a look.

I took this photo one evening when I was relaxing and watching television. That is where my lamp is situated, just to the side of the tv. As you can see, there’s a smaller crystal lamp on the other side. I’ll leave it to you to guess what programme I was watching. You’ll also notice that my wallpaper is also orange. I love my orange world both to work in and relax. Come and take a look at some of the other orange elements that I have.

Here I’ve arranged all of the branded items I use within my business. The A4 clipboard is so useful for quick notes that I don’t necessarily want to keep. I can simply pull them off and throw them away. The gift box is for products that are shipped out to customers, and I have them in other sizes. The A5 notebook is for making notes at meetings and for planning out designs for new products. The little 6×4 notebook is great to keep on my desk for making notes while I’m working or taking notes on the phone.
The pen caddy looks great with the other things and, like all of my branded items, is handmade by me. Finally the bag toppers are for smaller items that are shipped that can be put into smaller bags and clipped on with my bag toppers. These are stapled at the top.

I’ve had this chair for a long time and it’s very comfortable. But the original colour is a deep red and doesn’t really go with the new theme of my room. So I’ve added a couple of orange throws to make it warmer in the Winter and to tie it in with my colour scheme. The sun cover on the back rest was originally sold as a bath mat, but I thought it would look great on my chair. The orange sun is part of my logo so it fits really well.

Underneath all of that, this is an ordinary black office swivel chair. Oh it’s still a swivel chair now, but there’s no black showing, I added an extra cushion for comfort and arranged an orange and white throw over the top. The cushion resting against the back of the chair is for decoration when I’m not working at my desk. It gets moved when I’m working and replaced when I’m not actually sitting in this chair. You can see the edge of my desk to one side and parts of my storage area on the other side. In the next post, I’ll give you a closer look at one of my chests of drawers.

This is just a set of plastic drawers which you buy and put together yourself. I covered the fronts of the drawers with my brand card. I actually had two reasons for doing this. The first was, of course, to make them tie in with the colour scheme of my room, but I wanted to label my drawers so that I knew what was in them. I found that labels don’t stick well to the plastic. They peel off after a time. But the labels stick to the card perfectly and seem to stay put. So now my storage is perfectly colour matched to my room, and I have clear labels so I know what’s in each one. Perfect .

This is the long wall opposite my window. And yes, all of my walls in this room are that colour. You can see elements of my mantelpiece, which also has orange flowers on it.
The tile Pattern you see on the wall was one that I made myself. I bought about 4 paper gift bags which had this sun motif on it. I cut the bags up and separated the sun images into colour themes. Some were a deeper colour than others. I wrapped fix A4 mount boards with orange tissue paper and used foam pads to attach the tiles. I had some left over, so I cut them in half and made a frame around the composition. I really like the way it’s come out.
I hope you’ve enjoyed a brief tour of my orange world. I’ll add other photos as and when I add to my collection. 🌅

I decided to put up a string of coloured lights above the window in my workroom. This is the photo from the outside, just as evening is falling. I love the orange glow on the wall opposite the window. – and now let’s go indoors and have a look, in the picture 👇 below.

So I came indoors and took another photo of my Christmas lights, and this is what it looks like. It still has that gorgeous orange glow, which is reflecting softly on the ceiling. These are timer lights, but I haven’t activated the timer yet. I’ll do it this evening when I plus them in, but I won’t know if it’s worked until the morning. I’ll probably leave these lights up all year round, as they do look very pretty; especially at night. I hope you’ve enjoyed this extra phase of my orange world. 🌅
Hi everyone. I found a small version of my large orange vase and moved some of the lights into it. I changes the setting to the closest that there is to chasing lights, for the effect of light flowing from one vase to the other. I think it looks really pretty and I wanted to share it with you. 🌅
