Sparkle Necklace

This is my first adventure into jewellery making and I’m so pleased with it. I’ve made a few other pieces which I’ll share below. These are all one off pieces but as I explore deeper into this area, I hope to be able to make special pieces to sell. Take a look at the other pieces I’ve made so far.

Pumpkin bead necklace

This was so much fun to make. I had a set of orange beads which included pumpkin beads and I just had to make something with them. I made a bracelet to go with it and this is shown in the picture 👇 below.

Orange Bracelet

This is the bracelet I made to go with the pumpkin necklace. I didn’t add any pumpkin beads as I felt they might be a bit too bulky against the wrist. But they do set off the necklace well when the two are worn at the same time.

Orange Marble Necklace

This was another one that was fun to make. The beads started out as white, and I lacquered them with two different tones of orange glaze. They look great when worn and I’ve made a bracelet to go with them.

Orange Marble Bracelet

This is the bracelet I made to go with the necklace above. I treated the white beads in the same way to give them a cohesive look when worn together. I threaded these beads onto a piece of jewellers elastic thread so there is no clasp to fuss with.

Resin Necklace

This one is a bit of a hybrid. I had the beads for this one for quite some time, but then I found a bracelet in a local store that was virtually the same colour. But the points seemed to dig into my wrist when I wore it, so I cut them off of their cord and combined them with my existing beads to make this unique necklace. I’m really pleased with how this one came out and I’m looking foreword to sharing my future creations with you as they develop.

Watch this space as there will be more bracelets, necklaces and hopefully rings and earrings coming along in the not too distant future. 🌅

White gemstone necklace

This is part of a set that I’ve designed with some white gemstones I had in my jewellery stash. The first piece is a necklace, and it has spacers between each stone. The beads were threaded onto jewellers twine and fastened with a lobster claw clasp, which is at the back of the necklace. I’m very pleased at how it has come out.

White gemstone bracelet

This bracelet is part of the set and is threaded onto stretch jewellers twine. It also has spacers between each stone. It makes an elegant accompaniment to the necklace.

White gemstone earrings

These earrings complete the white gemstone jewellery set that I’ve designed. I used a gold base and added a jump ring to attach the twine for the gemstones and spacers. They look very nice on their own, or to wear with the rest of the set.

I’m really pleased with how this set has turned out, and I plan to design more sets in the future. 🌅

ROSE BROOCH

This is my first product from a collection I’m putting together called Paper Boutique. It’s a piece of ephemera that I found in my craft chest. I backed it with gold mirror card, glazed it with mod podge and added a brooch pin to the back. It looks very smart on the lapel of any jacket, and no one would know that it’s made from paper or card unless they were told.

PAPER CORSAGE

This corsage is also made from pieces of ephemera, and is part of my paper boutique collection. I had a large drawer with pieces of ephemera that I haven’t used in ages. I sorted it all out and chose some of the flowers to arrange into a corsage. I layered the pieces with foam pads to give it depth. Again, I backed it with a piece of gold mirror card, added a brooch pin and placed it onto a jacket. It looks great and won’t wilt or spoil, if kept in a jewellery box.

BUTTERFLY BROOCH

This brooch is part of my paper boutique collection and is made from two pieces of butterfly ephemera. I did back the largest piece with gold mirror card, but not the top piece. I wanted a three dimensional look to the brooch, so I raised the wings on the top piece. This had a brooch pin on the back and I’m really pleased with how it’s turned out.

ROSE EARRINGS

These are the first pair of earrings that I’ve made for my power boutique collection. Once again I used pieces of ephemera and added mirror card to the back. This time, I twisted some wire into a loop and sandwiched it between the two layers. I added a jump ring and a hook and that was it. I wore these around town and got several complimented on how pretty they are, but no one guessed that they are made from card. I really love the way these have turned out. There are other items from my paper boutique collection on other pages on this site. All of them were fun to make.
