These were the first type of coaster that I made. A young family had two delightful children, and they wanted a set of drinks coasters to be made with their dad and the children as a gift for mum.
How this works is very simple. You can send your family photo to me, and I will make it up into a beautiful set of drinks coasters which will be presented in a beautiful box. These coasters make great gifts for grandparents, aunts and uncles. They are coated with a water resistant film and all they need is a wipe with a damp cloth to clean them. They shouldn’t be submerged in water or go in the dishwasher.
For more general drinks coasters, try these for an idea.

These were actually made from a sheet of wrapping paper. I cut them to size, mounted them onto a board and sealed them with a waterproof resin. They have a sheet of felt on the back. Great to have around the home to avoid those coffee stains on your best table.

These are so much fun to make. I photographed a real doughnut for the image. Then I resized the image and printed it out four times. I glued it to a sheet of board, cut each one out and then glazed them all with a waterproof resin. I added felt to the back. These can be easily cleaned by wiping the top with a damp cloth. They shouldn’t be submerged in water or placed in a dishwasher. They are great for parties when you don’t want your tables to be spoiled with coffee or tea rings. Just make sure your guests don’t try to eat them. I know that sounds silly, but a customer told me that actually happened. She had ordered a set of these coasters to use at a party and one of the guests picked one up and tried to eat it. Thankfully the person wasn’t hurt. Maybe I’ll make the next batch with a gold rim around it to make it look more like a coaster.

I used rabbits on this sample set that I made, but any animal can be used to make these drinks coasters. You can even email me a photo of your pets, and I can make a set up just for you. As soon as I can, I’m going to add a video to this page that will show you how to make your own drinks coasters, if you wish. Many crafters like making their own products, so I’ll have that video done just as soon as I can.

This is the latest in my coaster designs. It’s a muffin coaster and I made it by taking a photo of the top of a muffin, resizing the image and cutting it out to a diameter of 3 inches. The surround is a four inch gold mirror card and the base is a piece of mount board. Once they were all glued together, I sealed the top of each coaster with a coat of mod podge. You can also use PVA glue for this as it will go clear once dry. These food inspired coasters are perfect to have out during a party or any social occasion.
